Flamingo Door Wreath Made from a Ceiling Medallion
When I picked upward this ceiling medallion at a garage sale I wasn't sure exactly what I'd do with it. As I looked at it, I decided it reminded me of a shining sun. The sun makes me recollect of being outside, and then that's where I decided to hang the medallion. This cheery lord's day inspired flamingo wreath makes my front door look extra welcoming!
Supplies used to make the flamingo wreath:
- Ceiling Medallion, round
- Yellowish pigment
- Minor pink flamingos
- Pink paint
- Wood arrow
- Aqua Paint
- White Paint
- Brown Paint Marking
- Stencil
- E-6000 adhesive
- Hot glue gun
Pace 1: Paint the ceiling medallion with cheery yellow paint. My medallion reminded me of a sun shape, so I only painted in the sections to await like lord's day rays.
Step 2: Paint the flamingos. I think they look more realistic when y'all pigment over the plastic finish. Commencement, I paint the beak and heart expanse white. Next, paint the trunk pink. Finally, add a dot of black pigment the the eyes and the end the back.
Step three: Paint the woods arrow with turquoise paint. Allow information technology dry.
Step four: Use a stencil with white paint to spell the discussion "embankment" on the arrow. Make sure you blot the backlog paint off your sponge or brush earlier you stencil! Allow the pigment dry.
Pace five: Trace the stenciled letters with a pigment mark.
Step six: Attach the pointer and flamingos to the painted medallion. I employ E-6000 mucilage with a bit of hot glue. The hot glue will concur the items in place while the E-6000 dries.
I wrapped a scrap of tulle effectually the medallion and added a tulle bow. This created a sort of hanger that I could use. This fun, colorful flamingo wreath looks great near my DIY flamingo planters. Have fun creating decor this summer!
